As water bodies drying up fast under the scorching sun, fishermen salvage the last catch of fish in the Changaram wetlands in Alappuzha on Monday. Fishing in the shallow waters usually closes by the first week of April every year as ‘chal’, as they are locally called, will remain dry till the onset of monsoon.
